2007
December 30th, 2007
I started to drink (and enjoy) beer. My favorite beers are Italian (Peroni) and Japanese (Kirin Ichiban).
I contributed to a Roth IRA.
I became proficient in AutoCAD and Adobe Photoshop.

I travelled to Alabama for work.

…and Mississippi.

I purchased new furniture from West Elm to commemorate my one year wedding anniversary with Eric.

I hiked along train tracks in south-western Virginia with my best friends.

I swam in Lake Michigan.

I rode the Ferris Wheel on the Navy Pier in Chicago.

I went to FloydFest and discovered my new favorite band.

I visited my relatives in North Carolina and brought home a kitten.

I sailed in the Chesapeake Bay.

…and decided that my new favorite color is orange.

I cut ten inches of my hair. For the first time since I began dying it in seventh grade, all of my hair is its natural color.
I hosted a cookout in my neighborhood for all of our friends.

We played Mafia all afternoon.

I learned the hard way to not put onion peels down the sink drain, even if you have a sink disposal.

I deactivated my World of Warcraft account.
I played Portal and Team Fortress 2.
I attended two funerals and one wedding.
I applied to VCU to pursue a second baccalaureate degree in computer science, resulting in the decision to resign from my urban planning job. I began working at my parents’ company. Again.
I accustomed myself to drinking coffee without milk or sugar.
I walked on this deserted boardwalk in Point Pleasant, New Jersey.

I witnessed a house being built in less than ten days for Extreme Makeover: Home Edition.

I started to learn how to speak Japanese.
I camped under the stars to watch the Gemenid meteor shower. In below freezing temperatures.
I made a Christmas wreath out of old computer cables.
